Located on the banks of the Parramatta river, River Canyon offers something for just about everyone. With a view of the river and trees, I sat at the quieter end, generally reserved for couples. Elsewhere in the room (closer to both the stage and dance floor) were families celebrating a 21st, an 18th, and groups of friends gathered for a fun night out. Low lighting and candles gave an air of something special, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The highlight of the evening was the exotic Polynesian dancing from ‘Spirit of the Islands’ http://www.spiritoftheislands.com.au/, including a special appearance by the gracious Miss Samoa Australia, performing a traditional Samoan dance.
Very delicious & fresh dinner buffet on weekends. Price is well worth the dinner and show, and drinks are reasonably priced.
Apart from the buffet, there are a la carte menu options such as:
Seafood Food Platter for Two - $99 (kindly pre-order)
Full Lobster Mornay, Blue Swimmer Crabs, Fresh King Prawns, Tempura Prawns, Natural Oysters, Smoked Salmon, Mussels, Crumbed Calamari, Battered Fish, Salad, Steak Fries, Grilled Lemon with Tartare, Soy & Mirin sauces. Not Available on Friday & Saturday Dinner & Sunday Lunch.
