When
world class cuisine springs up in your backyard, you'd best do two things:
1. Get in there and sample it before the place gets too crowded ...
and 2. Do the chef the honour of crowing to the world about it. Of course
the second philanthropic deed exacerbates the inevitable popularisation
of the joint - but then you can glow with urban vanity about discovering
the place before the mob arrives. So, crowing is what this review is
doing, and we instantly have eleven words which will raise foodie eyebrows
across Sydney: It looks innocuous enough - 'tis only an entree after all - but this is the juiciest souffle in town, and its Blue Vein Cheese flavour is subtle, but satisfying enough for the professional cheesemeister's palate. Then, our Sydneycafes.com.au guest, who happened to be celebrating her birthday, chose her mains very well: It's the Cajun King Prawns on a Sweet Corn Fritter with Guacomole, Tomato and Shallot. What a class act! This writer went for the Barramundi and was equally applauding - it took succulence to new levels, and we truly knew we were at easily one of the best restaurants in Parramatta. Meanwhile, at the next table, a trio of local damsels were onto their desserts - they were sharing two between three of them, which is understandable as Inside Out Cafe's dishes tend towards the larger size of life. After our entrees and mains, we had no hope of squeezing in something sweet, so we hope the blissed-out expressions of our next-table neighbours conveys it all: |
