The
Albion Bar and Lounge is a great place for local Parramatta people to
hold their social or work functions, with three bar areas, all of which
are well served by their excellent kitchen delivering a truly international
menu. Dishes range from excellent steaks all catering to Modern Australian
palates, to Asian fusion options and even African/European cuisine;
everything from Moroccan Lamb to Wood-Fired Pizzas, Stirfries, Pastas,
Risottos and Salads. A typical function, depending on the area selected,
can hold from 50 to 100 people, with finger-food coming out for just
$12.50 per person. The finger-food is vast in its options: Smoked Chicken
and Sundried Tomato on Corn Fritters, Crumbed Perch with Chilli Lime
Mayonnaise, Thai Fish Cakes with Lemongrass Dipping Sauce, Oyster Tomato
and Vodka Shooters (yuuuuum!), Steamed BBQ Pork Buns and Ham Eggplant
and Tomato Turkish Sandwich to name but a few. Alternately function
attendees can choose the official Function Menu (minimum 40 guests),
which includes 2 roasts, 2 mains and 3 salads for just $20 per person
(desserts can be provided if requested in advance). The chef truly has
global flair, for choices on this menu include everything from British
cuisine such as Beef Braised with Guinness and Potato, to Thai food
such as Yellow Fish Curry with Lime-Scented Jasmine Rice, a Caribbean
Spiced Chicken, a Buffet Turkey with Proscuitto and Pinenut Stuffing,
and even a Tortelini with Ham and Leek. For casual diners, there are
